DMV needs to store copies of birth certificates, passports to comply with federal law!!

SALEM — Oregon would need to spend $16.3 million over six years and store copies of birth certificates and passports to comply with a federal law intended to guarantee the security of state driver’s licenses and identification cards, a panel of state lawmakers heard Wednesday.
