Most of us already know this, but it’s front page NRA news.

Gov. Kitzhaber sat down for an interview with reporter Laural Porter of KGW to discuss his agenda for his next term in office. When asked about gun control Gov. Kitzhaber praised the new background check law recently passed in Washington state and stated that he plans to”pursue vigorously” the expansion of background checks in Oregon. He also indicated that he plans to use health care reform as a means to implement more gun control. He said by using the mental health system and reorganization of the health care system they can”identify families at risk” of gun violence. How exactly will Oregon’s doctors and mental health professionals play into this agenda of gun control. Does Gov. Kitzhaber plan to have doctors report on patients?

Driver cards’ business-union alliance harms law-abiding employers, low-skilled Oregonians

Oregonians face wage depression fueled by SEIU and OAN’s efforts to keep a large cheap labor force filled with many illegal aliens. Other businesses who use E-verify and obey the law and are disadvantaged by OAN and SEIU’s advocacy for illegal aliens. If the members of unions were decent, they would reject leaders who promote the destruction of their State. Two trade-association executives head the PAC: Bill Perry of the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association and Jeff Stone of the Oregon Association of Nurseries. Among the PAC’s first donors: the political arm of the Service Employees International Union, which has contributed $20,000. The PAC will work to garner”yes” votes for the November ballot measure via which Oregon voters will approve or reject driving privileges for illegal immigrants.

Nonpartisan primaries campaign picks up $114,000 from business interests Oregon campaign finance

What do You Think Portland, Milwaukie, and Oak Grove? I am all for an open primary where the top two candidates move to the general but is this true representation? My Opponents for State Representative HD 41 spent over $300,000 in Big Union Money almost half of which came from out of State. If we had an open primary my two opponents would have surely been the two front runners leaving You, the voter, with No Real Choice at All. Is this how we want to conduct Our Elections here in Oregon? Letting Out-Of State Big Union Money Buying Your Vote? Does it really matter what "party" a candidate is as long as they move Oregon Forward with Common Sence Legislation?
Over 5,000 Bills were introduced in this last regular session. That could be 5,000 New Laws Governing Your Life. Giving You more regulations, business taxes, increased fees, more agencies, higher taxes, and pet projects.

Everyone should join the Ballot observer team in your county

By Janice Dysinger I am referring of course to the Secret Security Plan. In 2013 the legislature took out many reporting requirements that help us know how the elections deals with rejected, unused, soiled, discarded ballots. olis.leg.state.or.us/…/Measures/Overview/HB2199 . The no longer have to tell us what happens to these ballots. Now they only have to tell us how many ballots they deam are valid. There is no reporting function for a breach in the security of the elections office. They don’t have to tell us if the door was left open, some unauthorized person had access to the office, etc. Don’t you think we have a right to know if there is a breach in security? If ballots are rejected? How many ballots they started out with, mailed, used, had left over?
